PostSubject: Homework for May 6   Homework for May 6 EmptyThu Apr 07, 2022 11:35 am

1.Read Evangelical Theology
  • “The Evangelical Church” (698-707) - 10 pages
  • “Biblical Images of the church” (713-718) – 6 pages
  • “The Shape of the Church” (728-734) - 7 pages
  • “The Marks of the Church” (735-744) - 10 pages
  • “Governance of the Church” (745-753) - 9 pages

2. Read "A History of the Parachurch" https://tinyurl.com/2btnjuk6

3. Watch DVD of A History of Christianity, Episode 6 - God in the Docks.

4. Theology Paper: Turn in a copy of your final paper by Monday, May 2. The opening section of your paper should include a clear thesis where you succinctly describe the question and give a 1-2 sentence answer.

The total paper should be 5-6 pages, answering the original question(s). Make sure you include scripture, tradition, experience and reason in formulating your response.

The final section of the paper should develop the practical implications of your topic for life and ministry on a university campus. What difference does this make in the real world? What types of people or situations does this speak to? Why does it matter whether or not someone puts this theology into practice?

Use 12-point Times New Roman font with 1” margins, double-spaced. Include page numbers at the bottom of each page.
